Revelation

Revelation can be a defining moment in a persons life. According to the
dictionary, the word revelation means; a disclosure; the speech act of making
something evident; an enlightening or astonishing disclosure; communication of
knowledge to man by a divine or supernatural agency.

I personally lean toward the astonishing disclosure. Everything in my life is
always at a very fast pace so for revelation to catch up with me it has to be an
astonishing disclosure. By the way, I am working on the fast pace life but it seems
the more I work on it the faster it becomes.

In my life there have been many revelations. Many were personal, at a time in my
life when I knew something had to change and others were to be shared because
you were to excited to keep it to yourself. One more thing about revelation; when the
Lord drops it into your heart; it is like you have always known this truth all of your life.
That is the most amazing part of true God revelation.

The revelation that dropped in my heart today was Matthew 12 ;34 "For out of the
fullness--the overflow, the superabundance--of the heart the mouth speaks" (partial
Amp Bilble). I have known and used this scripture all my life but it was not revelation
to me until today.

The Lord showed me my heart as it was being squeezed with life's challenges.
Small things like work, store clerks, money issues, etc. and big things, your fathers
death, loosing your job, major health issues in your family. What is your mouth
speaking he asked? What are you responsible for in these situations?
Unfortunately, in the past I have always been the one asking for His help, not
looking at what my response to the situation should be. Yes, I believe we should
pray and ask for prayer but now I see it in a different light. In the past I have been a
pretty big reactor to most situations. Being drawn in to the fight or emotion of the
situation. Not that some situations will not involve your emotions but you do not have
to be controlled by them.

In any situation whether I am wronged, people don't agree with me or I am in the
middle of a life and death battle, I am only responsible for my reaction to the
situation. I am not responsible for the person who said it, did it or believes that I am
wrong. No one else or situation should have the ability to ruin my day unless I allow
them to.

In the past I have been the champion of many people. People that are not
confrontational like me when they need my help and run from me when they know
they have wronged me. So yes, my mouth has been speaking some right things and
a lot of wrong things. Things that I should have never been involved in, that opened
the door for me to speak other wrong things. But that is one of the wonderful things
about the Lords revelation. He can show you the bad things in your life and you feel
so blessed.

I am a blessed person today because at the age of twelve I turned my life over to
Him and He has been taking me on this wonderful journey called life ever since. I
implore you today to take the time to ask, Lord what would you like to reveal to me
today and you too might receive an astonishing disclosure.

The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; my heart trusts, relies on and
confidently leans on Him, and I am helped, therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and
with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7 amp
